2025 Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive: A Huge Success for Branch 272 and Beyond!

On Saturday, May 10, letter carriers across the country once again participated in the NALC’s annual Stamp Out Hunger® Food Drive—the largest single-day food drive in the nation. This year marked another powerful demonstration of how letter carriers go beyond the mailbox to serve their communities.

We’re proud to announce that Branch 272 collected over 12,000 pounds of food for local food banks and pantries—thanks to the generosity of our customers and the hard work of our carriers and volunteers. This incredible turnout reflects our deep roots in the community and our shared commitment to fighting food insecurity.

Nationally, the 2025 drive brought in an estimated 55 million pounds of food, all of which goes directly to local organizations helping families in need. Every can, box, and bag donated helped stock the shelves of shelters, soup kitchens, and pantries across the country—and right here at home.

A Big Thank You:

  • To our letter carriers who picked up donations along their routes with pride.

  • To the volunteers and coordinators who sorted and organized food at local hubs.

  • And most importantly, to the neighbors who gave generously.

The fight against hunger happens year-round, but this day reminds us of the impact we can make when we come together. Branch 272 thanks you for helping us make a real difference.

Until next year!
